Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway through the Port Isabel turning basin, close to the Queen Isabella Causeway. Shallow waters of the Lower Laguna Madre on the approach, so keep to the marked channel and watch the draught.

Practical

A long-running marina, operating since 1952, used mainly as a base for Lower Laguna Madre fishing charters and bay trips. Shops and restaurants of central Port Isabel within walking distance for provisions.
