Approach and anchoring
Lafitte lies in the inland bayou network about a 35-minute drive south of New Orleans. The marina is roughly 15 nautical miles south of the Bayou Segnette harbour.
Practical
52 slips, largest vessel 52 ft, with 4 transient berths. Dock and crane services and boat storage. Ashore there is a restaurant, a stocked hardware and convenience store with marine and fishing supplies, plus cabins, bunkhouses and a large RV park. Inshore, offshore and bow-fishing charters operate from the harbour, along with airboat swamp tours.
