Approach and anchoring
Inland lake at 2 064 metres altitude, accessed by trailered boat. Park permit required for all vessels, motorised or non-motorised. Four marinas serve the lake: Colter Bay, Leeks, Signal Mountain and the launch ramp at Spalding Bay.
Practical
Colter Bay Marina is the main full-service base on Jackson Lake. Fuel, store, boat rentals, guided fishing trips. Buoy moorings and a small number of end ties available for overnight stays from mid-May to mid-September.
Ashore
Trailhead network from Colter Bay including the Hermitage Point loop at 14 km along the shore. Visitor centre and general store at Colter Bay village. Jackson Lake Lodge at 8 km south for restaurants and lake views over Mount Moran.
