Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south around the Pointe de la Parata. Bottom of sand and posidonia; drop on clear sand patches only, the seagrass is protected. Sheltered from NW and W winds, open to the south and to swell from the Gulf of Ajaccio.
Practical
No facilities. Day stop in settled weather. Port Tino Rossi in Ajaccio is 6,8 nm east for provisions and fuel.
Ashore
Sanguinaires archipelago is classified as a Natura 2000 site and listed nature reserve. Genoese tower on Mezu Mare island, built in the 16th century, visible from the anchorage. Landing on the main island is regulated by the Conservatoire du Littoral.
