Port-operated marina on the Oregon bank of the Columbia River at Hood River, in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge windsurfing area.

Approach and anchoring
On the Columbia River about 60 miles east of Portland. Approach from the main channel; strong westerlies are typical from June to September. Current can run hard around the breakwater.
Practical
156 long-term berths from 16 to 43 feet, with one larger berth for vessels up to 66 feet. Visitor dock for boats under 60 feet on a first-come basis; the North Jetty dock takes vessels of 60 feet and over. Fuel berth with diesel and non-ethanol petrol, water and pump-out. Card payment only at the pumps.
Ashore
The Hood River Event Site, a grass rigging area for windsurfers and kiteboarders, is adjacent to the marina. The town centre with shops, breweries and restaurants is a short walk south across the railway.
