Approach and anchoring
Reached via the Canal du Rhône au Rhin, Petite Saône branch. Standard Freycinet gabarit applies, air draught around 3.5 metres under fixed bridges. Locks operated by VNF on the Belfort-Mulhouse chain. No VHF call needed for the halt itself.
Practical
Small free halte with pontoon berths for pleasure craft. Water and a power bollard are available. No fuel on site. Bakery and small shops within the village of Étupes.
Ashore
Town centre of Étupes at roughly 500 metres. Montbéliard and its medieval chateau lie 4 km west via the voie verte along the canal. The EuroVelo 6 cycle route passes directly along the towpath.
