Approach and anchoring
Fluvial access via the Canal du Centre, between Digoin to the west and Montceau-les-Mines to the east. Freycinet gauge, lock operation by VNF. Quay right bank, downstream of the road bridge.

Pontoon with water and electricity. Town centre within 500 metres, bakery, supermarket and restaurants. Railway station on the Paris to Lyon via Clermont line, 700 metres from the halt.
Ashore
Basilique du Sacré-Coeur of Paray-le-Monial, Romanesque church built in the 11th and 12th centuries, 400 metres from the quay. Major Catholic pilgrimage site linked to Marguerite-Marie Alacoque, canonised in 1920. EuroVelo 6 cycling route along the canal.
