Access via the Canal latéral à la Loire, between the locks of Gayette and Diou. VNF standard inland buoyage, no current. Hire-boat traffic common in summer season.

Quay for a handful of boats, water on the pontoon. Village of Diou with bakery and small grocery within 400 m of the halte. Port de Digoin 10.4 NM east on the same canal, Halte de Paray-le-Monial 16.2 NM east via Digoin and the Canal du Centre.
