Approach and anchoring

Gladstone lies near the tip of Little Bay de Noc, about 100 miles north-east of Green Bay, Wisconsin. The marina is open from early May to late September. Reservations go through midnrreservations.com or 1-800-447-2757; for short-notice availability call 906 428-2916.

Practical

Water, 20 amp shore power, petrol and diesel, pump-out, ice, restrooms and showers. The marina also has a boat launch, courtesy vehicle, bicycle hire and wifi. It sits beside Van Cleve Park, with a white-sand beach, playground and picnic tables on site.

History

Gladstone grew as a Soo Line Railway hub from 1887. Frank Van Cleve, an Escanaba financier, and Richard Mason gave 160 acres to the railway for its yards and docks. Van Cleve later donated the land that became the waterfront park next to the marina.
