Sailing club founded in 1940 on the north-west corner of Fern Ridge Reservoir, about 12 miles west of Eugene in Oregon's Willamette Valley.

Approach and anchoring
Fern Ridge is a 9,000-acre US Army Corps of Engineers reservoir, drawn down in autumn and refilled in spring. The club site is at 26126 Bangs Road, Junction City. Steady afternoon thermals make summer the main sailing season.
Practical
Member club with dry storage, dinghy and keelboat racing, weekly series and multi-day regattas. Sailing school running since the 1970s, with youth and adult learn-to-sail programmes. Long-standing lease with the US Army Corps of Engineers.
