Private member-owned club on the west bank of the Hudson River at the foot of Storm King Mountain, 5 miles north of West Point.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Hudson River channel between the Bear Mountain Bridge and Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. The Hudson is tidal here, so check current direction before berthing. Reciprocal arrangements for visiting club members only.
Practical
105 slips with shore power and fresh water, pumpout, restrooms and showers, wireless internet. Restaurant open for breakfast and lunch at weekends.
Ashore
Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson centre at roughly 1 km from the club. Storm King Art Center, an outdoor sculpture park, lies 4 km west. Trailhead for Storm King Mountain hiking trails at 3 km.
History
Founded in 1946, with charter membership closed on 1 January 1947. The club donated the historic marker recalling the wreck of the Armistead, a WWI-era vessel lost in the Hudson near Cornwall Landing.
