Approach and anchoring
Road access through the state park west entrance off South Dayton Street. State park entrance fee required. No tidal constraint; lake elevation around 1700 m.
Practical
Daily berthing and seasonal slips at Pelican Bay Marina. Petrol, ice, snacks on site. Wakeboard, pontoon and runabout rentals from ILM Adventures, kayaks and paddleboards from Rocky Mountain Paddleboard.
Ashore
35 km of trails inside Cherry Creek State Park, used for hiking, cycling and horse riding. Community Sailing of Colorado runs summer sailing camps from the marina. Denver Sailing Association holds club racing through the season.
