State-run harbour at Cedar River, Michigan, on the west shore of Green Bay, about 25 miles north-west of Menominee.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
The harbour lies on Green Bay off Lake Michigan. Approach depth is about 9 feet and dockside depth about 8 feet, on fixed and floating pontoons. It is open from early May to mid-September. Reservations run through midnrreservations.com.
Practical
The Michigan DNR runs 122 berths, of which 60 are transient. Water, 20, 30 and 50 amp shore power, petrol and diesel, pump-out, restrooms, showers, ice and a boat launch. There is a fishing pier, bicycle hire and a dog run.
Ashore
Two restaurants, a petrol station and a bait shop stand a short walk from the harbour. Wells State Park, with frontage on Green Bay, is a couple of miles away.
