Approach and anchoring

Reached from Barnegat Bay through Little Egg Harbor and the back-bay channels off the Route 72 causeway. Manahawkin Bay is shallow and dredged channels shift, so keep to marked water near low water. The marina sits close to a public launch ramp.

Practical

Fuel berth with diesel and petrol, ship store with bait and tackle, and slips for short or seasonal stays. Skiff, pontoon and kayak rentals on site. The Boatyard restaurant is at the marina. Harbour master on 609 597-3488.

Ashore

Restaurants and provisioning shops line East Bay Avenue and the Route 72 corridor towards Manahawkin, within a short drive. Long Beach Island ocean beaches and Ship Bottom are about 2 miles east across the causeway.
