Approach and anchoring
Entered from Delaware Bay through the Leipsic River, then about 7 miles up the winding tidal river to Leipsic, where Carey's is the last set of docks. The yard holds more than 10 feet of water alongside.
Practical
Carey's Diesel runs the marina with a fuel berth beside the travel lift, deepwater berths, and diesel engine and hydraulic repair. Service is available around the clock on 302 678-3797.
Ashore
Leipsic is a working fishing and crabbing village. The Leipsic River is fished for striped bass, largemouth bass and white perch, and the surrounding marsh forms part of the Delaware Bayshore.
