Approach and anchoring
Approach Drayton Harbor from the south through Semiahmoo Bay, leaving the Semiahmoo Spit to starboard. Entry channel marked and dredged. Watch for shallows close to the spit at low water. Harbour office on VHF 66A, phone 360 676 2542.
Practical
Permanent and visitor berths, water, shore power, restrooms, showers, laundry, pump-out, boat launch. Repair yard with marine railway handling vessels to 300 tons, 80 feet, 21 feet beam. No fuel berth on site since 2024; nearest diesel and petrol at Semiahmoo Marina, 0.6 nm SW across the bay.
Ashore
Blaine town centre and Peace Arch border crossing 800 metres from the harbour. Semiahmoo Park and beach reached by water taxi or 12 km road around Drayton Harbor. Fishing pier on the breakwater open to walkers.
History
Blaine grew as a salmon cannery port in the 1880s and remains a working commercial harbour, with crab and salmon fleets alongside pleasure craft.
