Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open to the bay from north-west to west. The bottom is sand and mud with grassy patches, giving fair holding for most anchors. The basin is part of the Coconut Grove waterfront, busy with sailing boats moored offshore and weekend regatta traffic.
Practical
Dinner Key Marina lies 0.5 miles north, with Grove Harbour Marine Sales 0.7 miles north for chandlery and repairs. Peacock Park itself fronts the anchorage, with a boardwalk along Biscayne Bay and the Glass and Vine restaurant in the park.
History
Peacock Park stands on the site of the Bay View Inn, opened in 1883 by Charles and Isabella Peacock as the area's first hotel and later renamed the Peacock Inn.
