Guide
Approach and anchoring
Rocky bottom, anchoring is forbidden all year to protect the seabed, so pick up a buoy. One white buoy is free and gives priority to pleasure craft, fishing and passenger vessels; the four red buoys are reserved as a priority for diving support boats, so the field is often full. Sheltered from W, SW and S, exposed to the tramontane from the north and to easterly swell. Collioure 0.4 nm SE, Port-Vendres 1.3 nm SE for all-weather shelter.
Practical
Mooring is free, limited to four hours during the day and allowed overnight, for boats up to 20 m keeping a 20 m swinging radius. No water or other services on the buoys.
Ashore
Coastal path links La Moulade to the centre of Collioure in 15 minutes on foot. Château Royal, Notre-Dame-des-Anges bell tower and Fauvist painters' trail all within the old town.
