Guide
Approach and anchoring
Scallop Bay lies at the mouth of the Pocasset River off the northern end of Buzzards Bay, near the western entrance to the Cape Cod Canal. The river is shallow, so carry enough water on entry. The site is at 18 Wings Neck Road.
Practical
The marina has over 30 slips on floating pontoons, moorings, a fuel berth and a pump-out. There is a ship's store, and the yard specialises in sailing boat work. It sits a few minutes across the Bourne Bridge on the upper Cape.
Ashore
Provisions are in Pocasset village. The marina gives quick access into Buzzards Bay for day cruising toward the Elizabeth Islands and fishing grounds on the upper Cape.
