Approach and anchoring
Reached via the Straight Channel from the bay entrance north of Cedar Point. Sandusky Bay is shallow throughout, with the dredged channel the only reliable route to the downtown waterfront.
Practical
Public docking. Limited services on the basin itself. Fuel, pump-out and full facilities at Paper District Marina, Deep Water Marina and Dock of the Bay within 0.3 miles.
Ashore
Downtown Sandusky shops and restaurants two blocks south. Jackson Street Pier and the Lake Erie islands ferry within walking distance. Maritime Museum of Sandusky on East Water Street.
