Approach and anchoring
Approach depths are around 9 feet, dockside depths around 5 feet. The island lies just off the Essex waterfront, about 6 miles upriver from Old Saybrook on Long Island Sound.
Practical
About 125 berths on fixed and floating docks for boats from 16 to 175 feet, with transient places. There is a fuel berth with petrol and diesel, a pump-out, laundry, showers and a swimming pool. The boatyard has a 35-ton travel lift.
