Approach and anchoring

Reached from Long Island Sound through the buoyed Branford River entrance. Local waters carry many unmarked reefs and rocks, so stay in the marked channels. Goodsell Point Marina lies about 0.1 miles to the west.

Practical

Berths for vessels up to 70 feet LOA, 18 feet beam and 7 feet draught, with no height limit. Fresh water, shore power, cable TV and pump-out at every berth. Marine service team, dry storage, swimming pool and the seasonal Dockside Seafood and Grill restaurant.

Ashore

The Thimble Islands, a cluster of small granite islands off Stony Creek, lie a short passage to the east and are a known cruising ground for anchoring and sightseeing.
