Approach and anchoring

Straight concrete quay on the right bank next to the grain silo, about 100 metres long with four rings. Maximum draught 1.8 metres matches the canal gauge. Waterway managed by VNF, speed limited to 6 km/h. Nearest locks are écluse 3 north and écluse 4 south.

Practical

Four free moorings against the concrete quay. No water or electricity on the pontoon itself. Baker and small grocery in the village at 400 metres, and the nearest supermarket is 4.4 km away. Lac de Villegusien reservoir feeds the canal summit and lies 1 km west of the halte.

Ashore

Walking path around the Lac de Villegusien at 1 km, a 400-hectare reservoir built in 1887 to feed the canal. Halte pique-nique de Piepape 1.1 NM south for a quiet lunch stop. Voie verte along the towpath gives cycle access to Langres 20 km north.
