Guide
Approach and anchoring
The bay is enclosed on its northern side by Gibraltar Island, which screens the harbour from the south-west and partly from the north-west. Holding is in sand. Mooring buoys are also let in the harbour, with a water taxi running to the village. Fresh water is available.
Practical
Put-in-Bay public docks A, B and C lie 0.2 mile south-west, charged per foot with higher weekend rates. The Crew's Nest, a private club with transient dockage, is 0.4 mile west. The village has restaurants, shops and provisioning within walking distance of the docks.
Ashore
Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial stands above the village, a 352-foot column run by the National Park Service marking the 1813 Battle of Lake Erie. The village of Put-in-Bay, by the public docks, has shops, restaurants and a winery.
