Small harbour of 60 berths in the calanque of Niolon, on the Côte Bleue west of Marseille, inside the Parc Marin de la Côte Bleue.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Golfe du Lion, entrance facing south into the calanque. Shallow harbour with maximum draught 0.9 m, unsuitable for deeper keelboats. VHF channel 2. Exposed to southerly swell rolling into the inlet.
Practical
60 berths, mostly for local boats. Water at quayside. Charges can run high and feel discretionary, with around 110 euros asked for three nights, well above the departmental council tariff, and the welcome can be minimal. Railway station Niolon on the Marseille to Miramas coastal line, 5 minute walk uphill. UCPA diving centre on the quay.
Ashore
Sentier des douaniers along the Côte Bleue coastline, westward to the calanques of Petit Méjean 1.9 NM and Figuières 2.1 NM. Diving sites on the drop-offs of the marine park. Small restaurants on the harbour front.
