Approach and anchoring

Lake Huron entrance at the Au Sable River mouth, then upstream past the US 23 bridge. The marina is on the south bank at 470 South State Street, immediately west of the Au Sable Huron condominium marina. Sandy river bottom, shifting depths near the river mouth.

Practical

Seasonal river berths, sales and service for outboard motors and trailerable craft. Workshop and parts counter on site. Phone 989 739 4411. No fuel berth, dock services limited to occupants and customers. Nearest fuel and pump-out at Riverview Marina 200 metres upstream.

Ashore

Oscoda village at 1 km, grocery and restaurants. Lake Huron beach at the river mouth at 400 m. River Road National Scenic Byway begins at the bridge for a 35 km drive along the Au Sable through the Huron National Forest, with the Lumberman's Monument overlook at km 21.
