- Harbour
Small marina inside Three Mile Harbor, a narrow inlet of Gardiner's Bay at East Hampton on Long Island's South Fork.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter Three Mile Harbor from Gardiner's Bay through a dredged channel marked by lighted and unlighted buoys, with private lights on the jetty ends. The tidal current runs at about 3 knots through the entrance. Favour the east side of the channel for best water.
Practical
Seasonal and transient berths on floating pontoons. Several full-service yards and a fuel berth lie within the harbour. Restaurants and shops are reached by tender or by road from the marinas around the harbour.
Ashore
Sammy's Beach nature reserve, 116 acres of bay beach and dune at the harbour mouth, is good for walking. East Hampton village centre, with shops and the railway station, is about 5 km south.
