Lake Catherine connects to Lake Pontchartrain and, through the Rigolets, to Lake Borgne and the Biloxi Marsh. Vinot's Marina is 1 mile to the north and Oak Harbor Marina 4.9 miles to the north-west.

Fuel, ice and a bait and tackle shop. Dry storage and a boatyard with a 60-ton travel lift. Overnight lodging and RV sites on the same grounds.
Ashore
The surrounding waters hold redfish, speckled trout, sheepshead, flounder and tripletail, which draws sport-fishing crews to the marina.
