Guide

Approach and anchoring

Blind Bay opens off the Saint Lawrence River below Chippewa Bay, sheltered from the main channel and its commercial traffic. Watch for shoals and rock when leaving the bay and stand well off the islands.

Practical

There is a convenience store, fuel, slips, launching and winter storage. A two-bedroom apartment above the marina is let to visitors. Schermerhorn Harbor lies about 4 NM to the south.

Ashore

Singer Castle on Dark Island, a stone house completed in 1905, is within a couple of miles and runs boat tours. Cedar Island State Park, a small day-use island, is also close by.
