Approach and anchoring
Approach from Chesapeake Bay through Herring Bay. The entrance channel is marked and leads to protected deep-water berths with direct access to the bay. Around 25 minutes by road from the Washington DC beltway.
Practical
560 wet berths plus land storage for around 1,300 boats. Fuel, fresh water, shore power, pumpout, laundry, showers, ship's store, on-site travel lift and boatyard with 19 marine contractors. Outdoor pool, jacuzzi, fitness room, cafe.
Ashore
Complimentary kayaks, paddle boards and bicycles for members and guests. Sandy beach, playground and picnic areas on site. Village of Deale at 4 km north for groceries and restaurants.
