Approach and anchoring

Approached from Ipswich Bay through the Ipswich River entrance. The river carries shifting sandbars near its mouth and is best entered on a rising tide. Local knowledge or up to date charts advised.

Practical

Haul-out, winter storage, repair and general maintenance. Dockage and tender access on the Ipswich River. Sailing lessons and charters run by the yard. Diesel and petrol are not on site here; the nearest fuel berth is at Ipswich Bay Yacht Club, 1.8 miles east. Perley's Marina, also offering repair, lies 1.6 miles to the north-west.
