Reached from the Okeechobee Waterway on a stretch with locks in both directions, so there is no tide and minimal water surge. The Moore Haven lock, just upstream, handles around 10,000 craft a year transiting the cross-Florida route.

A 13-acre yard built around a do-it-yourself work area where owners service their own boats. Equipment includes a 50-ton and a 40-ton travel lift, crane and sling service, and a wide entry channel. On-site facilities cover restrooms, showers, laundry and internet access.
