Approach and anchoring
Set on Harbor Drive behind the Stamford hurricane barrier, on the East Branch. Boats reach Long Island Sound through the gated 90-foot opening in the barrier, kept open in fair weather, then down the dredged harbour channel between the breakwaters.
Practical
Members run a shared fleet of powerboats from this berth: centre consoles, bowriders and fishing boats. The host marina provides fuel, a pump-out and chandlery on site. Downtown Stamford and the I-95 corridor are a short distance away.
