Small private harbour in the Day Island lagoon, just south of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in University Place, Washington.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Entry through a narrow lagoon channel that shoals heavily at low water. Local advice is to enter only above a tide height of about 4 feet. Keep the depth marker on the east side of the basin to port on the way in. Stay on the west side of the channel to avoid the shallowest patches.
Practical
Member moorage tied to the Day Island Yacht Club, founded in 1949, with a boat ramp, trailer parking and a clubhouse on site. Visiting yachts moor at the reciprocal dock next to the ramp. No fuel berth in the lagoon. Narrows Marina is 0.2 NM east for diesel, petrol and pump-out.
