Full-service marina at the south end of the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, in the tidal creek behind the inlet jetties in South Carolina.

Guide

Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Atlantic through the Murrells Inlet jetties, then up a shoaling tidal creek. The channel thins quickly and is best run at half tide or above. The inlet has no link to the Intracoastal Waterway. Local knowledge or a rising tide is advised for deeper-draught boats.

Practical

Two transient berths on a floating pontoon, charged by the foot. Fuel dock with diesel and petrol. No shore power. Restrooms, free ice, a bait and tackle shop and a ship store on site. The marina also runs headboat fishing trips and pontoon, skiff and jet ski rentals.

Ashore

The MarshWalk boardwalk runs along the creek front with several seafood restaurants reachable on foot from the berths. Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park are about 5 miles south by road.
