Berthing on the Mianus River at Cos Cob, Greenwich, Connecticut, off the western end of Long Island Sound.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from Long Island Sound by the marked channel into Cos Cob Harbour, picking up the buoys near Hitchcock Rock. The dredged channel carries about 6ft at low water, less where it has silted. A fixed road bridge upstream gives 45ft vertical clearance.
Practical
Berths on pontoons along the Mianus River. Several marinas and a town boatyard lie within the same reach, so fuel, water and repair facilities are close at hand.
