Approach and anchoring

Enter from the lighted whistle buoy BH and follow the dredged channel between the two breakwaters past Bridgeport Harbor Light. The federal channel carries about 5.5 metres. The marina is on the Steelpointe peninsula in the main basin. Max draught 3.5 metres, VHF 9.

Practical

Over 200 berths on floating pontoons. Diesel and petrol fuel berth, vessel repairs, provisioning and winter storage. Boca Oyster Bar restaurant on site. Metro-North and Amtrak rail and the Port Jefferson ferry are within walking distance.

History

Steelpointe takes its name from the Bridgeport steel works that once stood on this site. The marina is part of the Steelpointe Harbour redevelopment of the old industrial peninsula.
