Member-owned yacht club on the bayside of Long Beach Island at Brant Beach, New Jersey, spread across seven bayfront blocks on Barnegat Bay.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Bayside approach from Barnegat Bay, with shallow water typical of the back bays of Long Beach Island. The club fronts Bayview Avenue between 59th and 65th Street. Channels off the main bay are narrow and best worked near high water by deeper-draught boats.
Practical
Private club, not open to transient berths. Renovated docks carry water and shore power, and there are dry moorings for day sailors and small boats plus beach launch tie-downs. A members grill and bar runs through the summer season.
History
The club was founded in 1947 and has been run since as a not-for-profit, member-owned corporation. It received the US Sailing Club Award in 2010 for its one-design regatta programme.
