Guide

Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Great South Bay via Fire Island Inlet and the buoyed channels off Bay Shore. Bay water is shallow, so favour the marked channel on a deep-draught boat. A Town of Islip recreation card is required to enter.

Practical

Around 493 berths plus launch ramps, with a restaurant on site. No transient fuel berth. The marina is part of Bay Shore Marina Park, which includes Benjamin's Beach and the Shipwreck Cove spray park.

Ashore

Benjamin's Beach has a boardwalk, picnic area and lifeguards in summer. The spray park and playground sit within the park. Main Street Bay Shore, with shops and restaurants, is a short distance inland.
